The Real Catalyst for Motivation: It's Not What You Think
Welcome to what might be the most important mindset shift you'll ever make. Most entrepreneurs are waiting to feel motivated before they take action. This is backwards — and neuroscience proves it.
Motivation is not a prerequisite for action. It's a byproduct of action. When you take even a small step toward a goal, your brain releases dopamine — the neurochemical of motivation. This creates a positive feedback loop: action → dopamine → more motivation → more action.
This is why the hardest part of any task is starting. Once you begin, your brain's reward system kicks in and propels you forward.
The practical application? Stop waiting to feel ready. Implement what I call the '2-Minute Rule': commit to working on your most important task for just 2 minutes. That's it. The momentum will carry you forward.
This is a core principle of the Fast:OS methodology — we don't wait for the right feelings. We create the right feelings through deliberate action.
